Already have an architect? Let's talk before the plans are finished

Updated: 7 days ago
If you're working with an architect, you don't need to wait until every drawing is finished before giving us a call. We like being involved while there's still room to talk through the design and budget together.
Your architect brings the design expertise. We bring the building perspective, looking at how the details will come together on site and what needs to be allowed for in the price.

When is a good time to talk?
Once you've got a general layout, an idea of the size and a budget in mind, there's usually enough to start a useful conversation. Send through what you've got and we can talk about whether builder input would help at that stage.
It's easier to discuss a change while the design is still developing than after everyone has spent time documenting it. We want the effort going into your home to move it in the right direction.
We'll look at more than the floor plan
Site access, the slope of the land, structural details, glazing and roof design can all affect how we build and price the home. We'll talk through those things with you and your architect.
Some questions will need the engineer or another consultant to resolve them. Our role is to raise what needs checking and work with the right people to get it sorted.
Keep everyone working together
We want you, your architect and the building team to understand what's been agreed, what it means for the budget and what still needs a decision. Current drawings and clear communication make a real difference.
An early review helps us understand the project, but detailed pricing needs the right documentation. We'll explain what we can assess now and what information we need before going further.
Bring your plans, your ideas and the things you don't want to compromise on. We'd like to hear what you're trying to create and see how we can help you get there.
